All natural, plain n simple leather conditioner for your boots (or any leather in your life). Made with Legacy Lamb grass-fed lamb tallow, Beeworks honey, and organic olive oil infused with wild harvested chaparral. One tin will last you many boot waxes.
Did you know that many early leather conditioners used a combination of tallow, lard, fish oil and beeswax? Tallow feeds leather with natural fats lost in the tanning process, beeswax provides additional waterproofing, and lard or oil makes the wax more pliable for applying to yer boots.
A darn-near all-purpose, great-smelling moisturizer for workin’ hands. Doubles as a first-aid salve to help skin cells regenerate quickly, reduce swelling, prevent infection, and help with cold sores.
The addition of tallow is the shepherd’s spin on a classic cottonwood bud salve (aka “Balm of Gilead”). This healing balm is made with the resinous buds from wild crafted Cottonwood trees right here in Whatcom County. Made in the traditional method by infusing the buds in organic olive oil for several weeks. The buds are then strained from the oil and combined with beeswax and my own pasture-raised lamb tallow to make a salve. The intoxicating smell is as close as you can get to bottling spring!
Cottonwood buds are pure magic: they’re full of the salicylates that make aspirin do its pain-relieving/anti-inflammatory thing, so they’re a great place to turn when you feel achy and sore.
